Antony Johnson does a terrific job with his plot, weaving in feints and leading the characters and in turn readers through his story. I enjoyed the twists and the whole hangs together well. Artisically Blood on The Streets was very impressive as well, Wellinton Alves has done a sterling job creating a slick, Noir-style comic that complements this dark, Daredevil-centric series. I recently (2015) discovered a clearance copy of "Shadowland: Blood on the Streets" (Hard Cover) at a local used book store and absolutely loved it's story and art.

This was a great comic. Visually stunning and well written. I for one might buy more at the comic book store. Give it a try Mickey you just might like it.

I recently (2015) discovered a clearance copy of "Shadowland: Blood on the Streets" (Hard Cover) at a local used book store and absolutely loved it's story and art. I've been a Marvel fan for decades, but was not an active reader when the Shadowland's story-arc originally printed. This is a side-story of a crime drama that occurs during the events of Daredevil's Shadowland story plot, but please be aware that this is NOT a DAREDEVIL story, MATT MURDOCK is NOT is this book's story. What this is in fact is a very good story line of crossing paths that is head-lined by the super-powered Private Eye - Misty Knight, with large participation by other favorite B- / C-List heroes SILVER SABLE, the SHROUD, and mercenary PALADIN. There is also a cameo by Iron Fist, but he is only in civilian clothes. I enjoyed this a great deal and can't wait to now get my hands on the main story and other Shadowland arcs.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. While not without flaws, the book is a good tie-in to a bad storyline. While the book includes many "street level" heroes it is essentially a Misty Knight story and would actually be much better without the inclusion of most the other heroes. The "twist" was obvious and stretched believably but was understandable. The art by Alves was very good. Overall, a decent read that could have been better if streamlined.
