I found this treasure by change at a library book sale. It is charmingly written and the recipes are EASY. When you've been cooking 45 years, easy is very appealing, especially when the recipes are like Bubby Irma, who is an experienced cook. Just for the recorder, another reveiwer mentioned making Irma's salmon quiche, with fresh salmon. That's fine, but the recipe calls for 1 pound of canned salmon. Those who can't obtain salmon fresh may appreciate using the original ingredient.

Bubby Irma tells her stories as if she's sitting in your living room, next to a roaring fire, eating wonderful noshy foods and reliving the adventures. What a journey. Her recipes work and she is so encouraging to be daring in the kitchen. I can't wait for the next one.
