The textbooks by Kieso,, Kimmel, and Weygandt are filled with information. The problem is they assume students have a level of prior knowledge and some clairvoyant ability which, for me, has gone dormant while carrying a 20-unit course load.

The book covers the theory and methodology of public economics; presents a historical and theoretical overview of the public sector; and discusses such topics as departures from efficiency (including imperfect competition and asymmetric information), issues in political economy, equity, taxation, fiscal federalism, and tax competition among independent jurisdictions. Acknowledging the diversity of students and their learning styles, the authors have created a clear text and varied supplemental materials to aid the success of every student.
