Coming in fast and low, the huge ship made planetfall  .

One of Keith Laumer's longer works, this book is rather disjointed and episodic, but still manages to create an interesting scenario of the development of the earth colony on a distant planet. All in all, a good read, but not a classic.

One of Keith Laumer's longer works, this book is rather disjointed and episodic, but still manages to create an interesting scenario of the development of the earth colony on a distant planet. The shorter episodes are the best, and the story was left open to further installments. All in all, a good read, but not a classic.

Honestly, one of the worst books ever written. Extrmeley thin plot, weak characters, and some vaguely racist dialog makes for one extremely long book. You won't be able to wait to put it down.
