International security, also called global security, is the measures taken by states and international organizations, such as the United Nations, European Union, and others, to ensure mutual survival and safety. These measures include military action and diplomatic agreements such as treaties and conventions. International security is national security or state security in the global arena.
History of the socialist movement in the United States. Socialism in the United States began with utopian communities in the early 19th century such as the Shakers, the activist visionary Josiah Warren and intentional communities inspired by Charles Fourier. Labor activists, usually British, German, or Jewish immigrants, founded the Socialist Labor Party in 1877. The Socialist Party of America was established in 1901
The third section examines how Sudan relates to its eastern, western and southern neighbours. In common with its domestic pattern of contested power and policy, Sudan has generally followed several competing foreign policies at the same time. Officially a socialist country, they sought loans from the eastern bloc but being increasingly aligned with the USA they also borrowed from western Europe, the USA and the World Bank. After the oil boom there was plentiful Arab money and they even went to commercial banks and borrowed for long-term development at commercial rates.
