I loved Lake News, and immediately after finishing it, I bought this book. I was eager to revisit Lake Henry and find out how the people I had grown to know and identify with were getting on with their lives. The answers were all satisfying, and the author introduced me to some of their friends and neighbors, whose lives and past histories were just as intriguing and engaging. I'm going to go look for another Lake Henry story, or, if there isn't one yet, for another satisfying Delinsky book to enjoy while I'm waiting. Please keep writing, Barbara!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the very first page to the last page. I bought this book at a garage sale and enjoyed it but as I went through the first few chapters I had to buy it for my Kindle as I prefer reading on it or my I-Phone. I never minded the double investment and think this is a worthwhile book. It's characters, each with their own personalities drew me into a realtionship with them all, especially Poppy. You will love this book as I did.

Romantic mystery with several protagonists makes this a good read. Well-defined personalities. Even the motherless baby has likes and dislikes, Romance scenes are refined, leaving some to the imagination, contrary to earlier novels by same author. Great description of the sugaring process and the typical community spirit of the region. Sideline details while suspense is sustained. One of her best books.

Note to publisher: Widower Micah has only one child, not two.

The story line was going well, but lost steam. The book was more about Poppy and Griffin (which was lovely) and sugar making (too much time given to it) than the "accidental woman". I did enjoy the book, but wish it gave more details about how Heather/Lisa got to where is she was. If it were written as a love story between Poppy and Griffin or stayed more on course with the Heather/Lisa plot, I would have given it 4/5 stars.
Love this book!! This author's characters come alive.
