She writes about environmental chemistry for The New York Times at Poison Pen and is a blogger for Wired at Elemental. When it was my turn to propose a selection, I had my Book Club read this year's anthology. I was a little concerned about my recommendation as these collective essays were such a "downer", but we had one of the liveliest discussions in months, and many of the attendees thanked me for recommending, and said that they would be reading these anthologies in the future.

A fascinating book and great compilation of brilliant writing by early (women!) ornithologists in the United States. Women ornithologists have contributed an amazing amount of research and literature to this field--but are often ignored especially in the "early" rise of ornithology across the United States. A must-read for any and all birders, and a great gift for bird nerds too!
Book arrived as described (great condition), easy communication with seller, and super fast shipping. Thanks!
