This is truly amazing and I hope someone who can do something reads this review. I am a huge fan of the late Barbara Parker and had this entire series in hardcover. Unfortunately I gave them away years ago and so bought the 1st three for my kindle. The transcription from book to ebook is horrendous, there are typos everywhere and the paragraph formatting is all wrong, a new paragraph should start whenever the speaker changes. if I hadn't read these books before I would not know who was speaking to whom much of the time. The original hardbacks were perfectly edited and this is an insult to the author!

Loved this audiobook -- as narrated by Barbara Rosenblat -- and actually thought the plot was more intriguing than the first book in this series, "Suspicion of Innocence." "Suspicion of Guilt" gives you an accurate portrayal of a young lawyer's rigorous life at a major law firm. Particularly enjoyed the debates among the firm's partners over which cases to take. Even the climax is somewhat believable. Gail's young daughter Karen is well fleshed out. And her early relationship with defense lawyer Anthony Quintana is already prickly and passionate. When the two aren't making love, they're often fighting as they figure out where their relationship is going. I just wish that: A) I could find this audiobook in a CD version, instead of cassettes; B) that Audible.com would include this book and "Innocence'' and C) that Rosenblat was hired to re-record the last three books in this series, which were unfortunately narrated by others -- and not nearly as well. Rosenblat is riveting in her vocal portrayals of all the characters in this series -- including Anthony.

this is the second book of the series on Suspicion of.....a court series with infinite passion deceit and outwardly events... my biggest regret is that series contains only 6 or 7 books and there will be no more on Gail Connor and Anthony Quintana, my sympathy to the family. She was one hell of a good writer!

I love the Gail Connor series by Barbara Parker!! They are about my favorite. Her relationship with Anthony is so well written. The chemistry between those two is so exciting and always in each book there is great suspense. I anxiously look forward to another book. I highly recommend you start with the first book in the series though to get the full effect. Otherwise it get's confusing because you will want to truly understand Gail's relationship not only to Anthony but to her ex husband, Dave. Parker is good at spinning a mystery and I can never put her books down. A great read!

GUILT is the second in the Connor and Quintana series about the two Miami lawyers. I thought it was a little less than the first book but still a great mystery. I have said before, Parker writes Gail Connor so real! You can feel for her in her personal and professional life. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, the series and the book. On to book three.

It is a good book and a good price and good quality. With the price of new books, many people could now own a lot of the books that they would like. Amazon and used books makes this possible.
The writing is intelligent, the story engrossing, the characters and conversations so true-to-life. I loved the book and look forward to the rest of the series. Too bad the poor typing copy was such a distraction. I mean, it was the worst ever and I've read a lot of e-books.
