Charles H. Kraft is Sun-Hee Kwak Professor of Anthropology and Intercultural Communication in the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Seminary. Author of two other Orbis books, Communication Theory for Practical Witness and Anthropology for Christian Witness, his journeys for teaching and ministry have taken him to Korea, Nigeria, Australia, Japan, Switzerland and Germany.
ICC courses have a relatively short history, with the first ICC courses being introduced in the United States at the University of Pittsburgh and Michigan State University in the 1970s, mostly in communication departments (see Martin, Nakayama, & Carbaugh, 2012, for a comprehensive historical overview of the development of ICC courses in the US and around the world).
