Everything You Need To K. My personal trainer recommended this book. Reading it has made a big difference. For me, understanding the process of fat loss was the tipping point of changing my eating and meal preferences. This is the only book I have found that both clearly explains the process for a non-scientist reader plus incorporates exactly how the process works with weight training.

This is straight forward book about fat loss, he hits on all the important stuff involved with fat loss for the athlete or fitness nut. There are so many schools of thought on these principles but the bottom line for all books is what do you want to achieve. The ideas here work because I followed them to the letter and lost a lot of fat but not as effectively as the paleo diet.

No book can include "Everything You Need to Know" on any given subject, and I resent it when publishers and authors that make such exaggerated claims. Having said that, I took the chance on the book and was pleased with the useful and thought provoking information on fat loss that I found within its pages. This book is NOT for those that want some easy recipes, a quickie style program or a "Do Exactly This" style diet book. That is probably why I found this book valuable.

I have been working out and learning about the science of muscle building for over 30 years. When I have friends approach me that want to lose weight, this is my go to book. It logically explains the process and gives a breakdown of how to start and make adjustments. I believe in the same principals as the author but he explains it far better then I can.

Sensible info (consistent with Nutrition Therapy class I earned in nursing school). Horrible typo and editing (missing punctuation marks), which I found distracting, but once I got over them, it was a good read.

This is actually a very good book that might get overlooked by the more flashy and better promoted books.

I am only half way through the book but I find that it is very helpful. A lot of the information about insulin and how it interacts with your body is very informative and can help you look at your diet differently.

Very good price for some great information. This book will probably be overshadowed by books that promise 1000 lbs lost in 5 days....check out this book first.

this book is straight to the point, a great read, full of scientifically valid useful information. If you want a lose weight quick diet program this book isn't for you, but if you want to understand how your body works, how fat is burned , how to find out how many calories your body needs and how to write a good nutrition program specifically tailored for you or your clients this is the book for you. This book doesn't teach you a new fad diet it helps you understand nutrition, something most of us should have learned in second grade science class.

If you are trying to lose weight, forget the Atkins, South Beach or whatever diets. This book will explain you in detail what you must do to get rid of those extra pounds. I have been following it for 3 weeks now, and have lost 4 pounds without feeling weak or hungry, and of course I excercise at a gym at least 4 times a week. If you decide not to excercise you will lose weight as well, but at a much slower pace. Another book I recommend you if you wish to excercise is The Body Sculpting Bible by Hugo Rivera, It is an excellent source for those interested in working out.

Though the book is small in terms of books, it is packed wall to wall with useable, well written, and simple english facts about fat loss and nutrition. The Author works with Americans pound for pound leanest atheletes which are of course body builders. I have personally been able to gain from and implement all the information in this book. A MUST READ for people who want to loose weight, diabetics, body-builders. and any other atheletic types. This is NOT some diet gimic book this is real life information from an expert in the field, and the information is usuable for anyone from Olympic Athelete to the everyday Homemaker.
