I've been reading this book to a child who just LOVES it. It's because they can relate to the story and at the moment everything is about 'winning' so the moral of the story isn't quite hitting home with this child just yet. It's basically about the brother and sister constantly arguing over who's winning the game. Charlie is the older brother who has to put up with Lola's outbursts.
