So, Herman Melville's Moby Dick is supposed by many to be the greatest . This book is awful in every sense of the word. Moby-Dick is an American classic that sounds as though it would be absolutely torturous to read.
This book is awful in every sense of the word. It has achieved literary fame, but I still personally hate it. I found everything about it completely, and utterly, detestable. Never again will I go within five feet of anything written by Herman Melville. A six-hundred-page nineteenth-century novel about the pursuit of a whale? You've got to be kidding.
