This book is phenomenal. Simple and to the point. We started reading it to our son when he was about 18 months (he's now almost 3) and he developed a curiosity to the point where he'd actually pick it out at night in addition to the truck books he typically prefers. The amazing thing is how his manners have evolved. I've had so many (not an exaggeration) preschool teachers from various schools and programs tell me that he has wonderful manners. And today, I had a teacher tell me "In all my years of teaching preschool, I've never seen a child with such good manners." As a parent, this is like the holy grail of compliments. And I credit this book with explaining the concepts in a very straightforward format. It makes sense to them and it is so much easier to instill the importance of "please" and "thank you" when you have the pictures in the book to back it up as they are learning through multiple senses. The board book is the perfect length for toddlers. If you're on the fence about this book- get it. Knowing that you're sending a well mannered child off to preschool is worth its weight in gold.

Very basic introduction to manners, would be nice if it included things like eating with utensils, not throwing food, etc. It's pretty much just Please, Thank-you and Excuse me.

I love Elizabeth Verdick books!! We have a bunch of them, and this series is GREAT! The illustrations are engaging for my 2 year old and the story is simple enough for her to understand and repeat. She now says "excuse me" without prompt from me after she sneezes, coughs, burps, or is brushing past another kid at the playground. I love seeing her connect and apply these simple little stories to REAL LIFE. Very educational and well worth it. I love that these books come as Kindle versions too and can't wait to download them onto her Kid Fire Tablet for upcoming road trips.

Perfect! Very simple, but just enough to start a discussion with my 3 & 4 year old boys. I was getting tired of having to remind them to say please or thank you, etc. This little book has helped a lot! I'm happy to say that it's rubbing off on them! I really want to order the Listening Time one next! :)

This is a cute book for toddlers. It contains several basic manners, and is worded in language that is very easy for little ones to understand. I bought it for my granddaughter, who is 22 mo. old. I highly recommend it!

My son LOVES this book. It's a good, overall explanation of having good manners. Short an simple and pictures are colorful and sweet. I'm a fan of these series as is my 2 year old. This one is my favorite out of all of them we've read, though.

Love this little book! i bought it to read to my 2 year old niece. I've noticed in the past that some manners/etiquette books can be a little stuffy and uptight. This book teaches manners from a 'be kind" approach. After reading it a few times with my niece. I will place it with my other books in the waiting room of my pediatric dentistry office :)
I love this book. My toddler learns well from books so this one was a great addition to our library. The book gives examples of polite things to say and you can have your child practice those phrases. I really like this line of books.
