This book nails it. The perfect concoction of flavor, compassion, and love from Lisa and the 50 talented, well known chefs who donated recipes. I can see why this fabulous little book was on the USA Today top 10 summer book list the week it came out, right after Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart's books!! I wouldnt consider myself a corn fanatic but after trying some of these recipes i have converted to a major fan of all things corn. Each recipe is simple to make, yet full of flavor, creative spice, and unique style. Every time I open the book I feel good about cooking one of these recipes, knowing almost ALL of the proceeds of this book went to an amazing non-profit called The Dougy Center, which helps grieving kids cope with the loss of a parent. The world could use a few more selfless, compassionate authors like Lisa SKye....not to mention a blueberry financier with corn bread streusel for desert.
