I like the book. I haven't finished reading it so I cannot express a full opinion. The understanding of Maria Montessori for the child and how the child is the man or woman to be is remarkable and never before expressed in our culture. It is somethng all parents and teachers should be aware of when interacting with their children.

This is a very good book but more science aimed, like previous people said. I absolutely love everything Montessori and appreciate knowing how it all began with this book. There are many references to other books that I would like to read as well.
