THE FACTS: I purchased this book on 12-4-2014 from books_whse for a total of $7.61 ($ 3.62 + $3.99 S&H), and the book arrived today (12-10)!

THE GOOD: This book is neat and clean, and it covers Barbie dolls that were issued around the world from 1964-2007. The countries/ continents/ regions that are highlighted are Australia, Canada, Europe (W/ a special section about The Heart Family), China, Hong Kong, India (W/ a special section about The Heart Family), Indonesia, Japan (Detailed listings, because Barbie was, and is, super popular in Japan), Korea, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Tiwan, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil (W/ a special section about The Heart Family), Peru, and Venezuela!

THE BAD: This book DOES bear some shelf wear, but the seller was honest about that, AND...I look at my Barbie books all of the time, so they DO become worn. My Encyclopedia of Barbie book doesn't even have its cover anymore, because I've looked through it so many times, so the fact that this new book shows signs of shelf wear is no big deal to me. I also got the book for a SUPER price, and THAT'S ALWAYS good news!

THE UGLY: A Barbie book...ugly? Perish the THOUGHT! ;) As far as the CONDITION of the book, the pages all seem to be crisp and clean, so nothing about the book's CONDITION could be called "ugly".

RECOMMENDATIONS: Barbie enthusiasts of all ages ought to enjoy looking at the lovely photos of each doll (An NRFB photo AND a close-up photo are included for each listed doll), and those who wish to see exactly how much they might hope to receive for their international dolls can do so, because the 2007 market values are given.

IN CONCLUSION: I've been waiting awhile to get this book, after having passed on it in a store awhile back, and I am SOOO glad that I'm FINALLY able to own this great Barbie guide. One of MY favorite Barbie dolls of all time is featured on page 362: Venezuela's Agua Marina Barbie; I wish that I had that doll, because she is a lovely, Cinderella-style lady whose outfit and hairstyle are definitely spectacular! So...if YOU want to browse through pages of international Barbie dolls, try to get a good deal on this book, and...ENJOY!

Once again, Michael Augustyniak gives us another wonderfully informative book, but this time on those very hard to find Barbie dolls from the foreign markets. Michael breaks the book down by country, and those include, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Europe, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Venezuela.

As in his other books, Michael gives a picture of the doll and a close up on the face. Barbie, Ken, Skipper and Kelly, among others, are featured. The years range from 1964 to 2007 with over 350 pages and a break down of Barbie's foreign family tree and celebrity friends. With this overwhelming task of finding these obscure dolls, some lines are not complete, but this book is well worth the price for any Barbie collector.

This is a useful and fun book about Barbie dolls around the world.

At first I really thought this was another book, it seemed to have the same dolls in the book as the 2008 book, but you have to take a closer look, these dolls that are in this book are dolls that were made in other countries. NOT USA , this is a cool book, I had a doll that I could not find, come to find out it was made in India and this book helped me find that out. Great source of finding out if the doll is made in another country also another way to tell is the doll will say Mattel India on the back of the box or where the logo is. But it is another great book. And will give you a basic start price for your doll. Enjoy & Thanks !!

I love this book and I always discover something new each time I open it!
Maybe it isn't exhaustive (I couldn't find some Italian Barbie dolls), but surely it's an excellent starting point!
