God reigns, not Jezebel. Reign, the Chronicles of Jezebel is an excellent story of the Biblical times during the reign of King Ahab and his queen, Jezebel. Jezebel was the daughter of Eth-Baal and she came from the city of Phoenicia, a city that offered pleasure but no joy, a city of death. They worshipped their gods by sacrificing children. Jezebel was married to Ahab who became king of Samaria, the northern kingdom of Israel. Ahab wanted to please his bride. Jezebel influenced him and she though God reigns, not Jezebel

Reign: The Chronicles of Queen Jezebel. Jezebel had stopped loving her sister long ago, and she learned the hard truth that to feel nothing was to be capable of anything. The next week, Jezebel followed the priests as they set out to bury the bones from the fire pit. The sacrifice of the beloved was the most honorable sacrifice Baal and Asherah ever demanded, done only in times of great peril and uncertainty.

Luckily, several long-lost books have been rediscovered in modern times. But some are still missing, and could be permanently lost. The complete article is about 1000 words long and includes descriptions of the Lost Sayings Gospel Q, the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Peter, and the Gospel of Judas. There is also a photograph of a fragment of an ancient scroll.

Jezebel’s reputation as the most dangerous seductress in the Bible stems from her final appearance: her husband . For more than two thousand years, Jezebel has been saddled with a reputation as the bad girl of the Bible, the wickedest of women.

Jezebel’s reputation as the most dangerous seductress in the Bible stems from her final appearance: her husband King Ahab is dead; her son has been murdered by Jehu. As Jehu’s chariot races toward the palace to kill Jezebel, she painted her eyes with kohl and dressed her hair, and she looked out of the window (2 Kings 9:30). This ancient queen has been denounced as a murderer, prostitute and enemy of God, and her name has been adopted for lingerie lines and World War II missiles alike. But just how depraved was Jezebel?

Beyond the Drama, Her Heart Was Real. From the moment her marriage to prince Ahab thrusts her into the intrigues of palace life, Jezebel’s exotic beauty opens doors and her will breaks down walls. Torn from her homeland and wed to power in a strange country, Jezebel vows to create a legacy and power all her own. Some might call her a manipulative schemer, bent on having her way.

Just finished this up yesterday. The books by Ginger Garrett are great!! I originally bought these in hopes of reading them with my daughter to make the bible come alive. Very glad I read them first alone. I would NOT recommend these to young women. The material is just too sensitive.

That said - I wish her books were not over! I want to still be reading! What amazing books truly elaborating on the bible stories making them so much more than the chapters we tend to skim of the Old Testament. I couldn't wait to read the bible again to see exactly what parts of the books were in there. This author did an amazing job at keeping with scriptures but elaborating to make a great story. Making it come alive.

I found this book a bit tedious. Jezebel is one mixed up girl and never strays far from her past. She carries the crimes of infanticide into every facet of her life. She was raised in a culture that promoted human sacrifice and chose to inflict her religious views of this gruesome practice into the Hebrew culture. Human sacrifice was forbidden by God. Marrying a weak and ineffective king she was able to exert great influence on the people around her. She died a gruesome death which was well deserved. The author gives her some sympathy here because of her childhood traumas, however she was never really able to overcome these fears or the trauma of those events in her life. Was her wickedness excusable because of her early life or was she just a wicked women who wanted to be in control?

While I found this depiction of Ahab and Jezebel interesting, I was also sickened by Jezebel's depravity. Certainly a product of her culture, one can see why the God of Israel frowned upon the marrying of foreigners. The sacrificing of humans, especially children should be the downfall of a nation.

Action packed drama at its finest. I enjoyed the character development and the book's progression. Some women stop at nothing until they reign or die trying. This was a well-written, exciting to read book. Jezebel was not a woman who accepts no for an answer. She defies any and all rules and seeks to please herself by any means necessary. Hot burning page turner you must read!

Rich in character, this book weaves a tale of the story of Queen Jezabell... The Biblical queen from young adult to Queen over Israel... A web of deceit, idol worship, and lies...
The Bible comes alive and vivid on the pages. Jezebel never knew Gods love and her hatred made her more and more miserable. What happened to the children?
