Using the New American Standard Bible, considered by some sources as the most literally translated of major twentieth century English Bible translations, the Discovery Bible employs H.E.L.P.S., the Hill Emphatic Language Pointer System, using 'discovery color' to point to places where the sacred originals convey a special insight (discovery) that is often beyond the reach of ordinary translation and special symbols to identify the colorful and vivid action conveyed by the different Greek verb tenses in the original text.

This is the fourth copy I have bought, and this too went to a minister friend of mine. These are in my opinion irreplaceable for quick Greek work on verbs in the N.T. and every pastor who preaches on a regular basis needs one. Problem is, there are not enough to go around. There is nothing like this on the market, an this is out of print. GMM

This New Testament has the best mixture of study tools for the true seeker. The words that are emphatic in the original text are highlighted in red. That feature alone brings the meaning into a kind of 3-D that is amazing! I recommend that you find a copy (it is no longer in print, unfortunately) if your heart beats fast for the Lord.

Quintessential Greek study bible. It is very concise and simple in the way it reveals the deeper meaning behind the Greek vocabulary and grammar. It's truly amazing how simple nuances in the Greek can elevate and point to the true interpretation of the text! I recommend this constantly to all my friends.

This Bible is great. It allows you to break down the emphasis of each verse with little to no knowledge of Koine Greek. The Discovery Bible makes the passages clear and grammatically powerful. With this tool in hand, it is possible to develop the flow of an entire sermon simply from grammatical observations. It is a great tool for anyone in a teaching position in the church.

Great find. Book is in good condition given that it went out of print years ago. Dust cover has light damage and there are some pages folded the wrong way but I'm very pleased. No idea why this is out of print. Very helpful.
  • Levion
This book helps open up one's understanding of the scriptures.

Fantastic! Everything I expected and more!
This out of print book is still such a big help in getting quick insights into what the English doesn't translate in meaning from the Greek.
