Architecture, Planning and Preservation Professor . Richard A. Plunz has taught at Rensselaer, Pennsylvania State University and has held visiting positions at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and the Politecnico di Torino among others. He served as Chairman of the Division of Architecture at Columbia (1977-1980), has been Director of the Urban Design Program since 1992 and Director of Columbia’s Earth Institute Urban Design Lab since 2005. Among his books are Housing Form and Public Policy in the United States (1980); Design and the Public Good.
